Futurist is a licensed and fully approved stallion (performance class I).

He is approved for breeding by the Hannoverian Verband in Germany, AHS, CWHBA and CSHA.

He passed his performance test with an excellent score of 127 points, achieving top scores
in both the jumping phase (128.64 points) and the rideability phase (122.81 points) of the test.
He has won show jumping ability classes in Germany as a four and five year old
and was imported to North America in the late fall of 2000.

Futurist's first show season in North America certainly surpassed our highest expectations.
In Ocala, Florida, Futurist won a six year old Jumper class. In Tallahassee, Florida and Aiken, SC,
Futurist was High Preliminary Champion, quite an achievement for a six year old horse.
In Aiken, SC, Futurist competed in his first $ 15,000 Grand Prix, going double clear and placing sixth.
In Ontario, Futurist won several preliminary classes and he was second in first derby, a $ 10,000
Open class at the beautiful Hendervale show facility.
Our main goal for the 2001 show season was the TD Jumper Development Class.
Futurist made a clean sweep of the series, winning the Ontario series, the Eastern Canada final at
the Tournament of Champions and finally the National Championship for 6 year old jumpers at the
Royal Winter Fair in Toronto. What an incredible show season for Futurist and his rider Roberto Teran, they
won more than $ 8,000 in prize money in Ontario alone, a remarkable sum for a six year old horse.

In 2002 and 2003, Futurist continued his successful show career under Erynn Ballard. Futurist & Erynn won the two first Open classes that Futurist competed in, in the spring of 2003 in Ocala, Florida.

In Ontario, Futurist and Erynn won SEVEN Modified classes in 2003.

Futurist & Erynn are the 2003 OHJA Reserve Champion in the Rising Star Series and also the OHJA Reserve Champion at the Modified level - what a wonderful season for Erynn & Futurist!

In 2004, Erynn & Futurist were the Ontario Open Jumper Champion !!

These results are quite remarkable given the fact, that Erynn just meets our stallions at the Horse Show but does not train them on a continuous basis. Erynn always comments on Futurist's incredible rideability "I just have to think what I want him to do next and Futurist already does it".

Futurist is an extremely competitive horse and in 2005, Erynn and Futurist had numerous "top 3" finishes in smaller Grand Prix.

Futurist is a son of two time Olympic Gold medal winner and European
Champion "For Pleasure" who has been ridden for the German team so successfully by Lars
Nieberg and more recently by Marcus Ehning.  He is one of the most sought-after sires in Germany.
For Pleasure is a son of the legendary Anglo Norman "Furioso" who has greatly influenced
almost every German and European riding horse breed. One of Furioso's best known offspring
is Voltaire, sire of Beth Underhill's Altair and Ian Miller's Play It Again. Grannus's offspring are
successful show jumpers around the globe. The black Anglo Arab "Matcho" was the winner of
the stallion performance test in Adelheidsdorf in 1992 and he has since founded his own stallion
line in the Hannoverian breed. His offspring are well known for their versatility, extraordinary
rideability and good character.

Athena B

We are thrilled with Futurist's first crop of foals in North America who turned three in 2005..

"Athena B" by Futurist, bred by S. & R. Dixon and owned by Susan Robins, was Champion filly at the McCullum Futurity show during the Tournament of Champions, she  was also Champion filly at the 2002 Royal Winter Fair and 2002 Champion filly, Ontario Chapter, of the CSHA.

Congratulations to Athena B, S & R Dixon & S. Robins!

Athena B repeated her 2002 successes in 2003, winning the Ontario Triple Crown and being Champion Filly at all three shows in 2003 once again.

"Sapphire B" by Futurist, bred & owned by Sylvia & Richard Dixon was CSHA GRAND  CAHMPION at the 2004 Royal Agricultural Winter Fair and both Athena B & Sapphire B won the "Get of Sire" class on behalf of Futurist.

Thank you to Sylvia & Richard Dixon for the wonderful job they are doing with their young horses on the line!

We are eagerly waiting to start showing Futurist's  first crop of foals in 2006 as four year old !
